Oboro Jinja is a shikinaisha (shrine listed in the Engishiki) located in Ishiwara-cho, Takasaki City, Gunma Prefecture. It is counted as one of the Seven Shrines of Kozuke Province (Kozuke Shichi-no-miya) and holds the former rank of gosha. Long venerated as the local tutelary deity, the shrine is listed in the Engishiki Jimmyocho, attesting to its deep historical roots. Its emblem is the mitsudomoe. During the Edo period it was also called Oboro Daimyojin. The shrine is deeply revered for blessings related to safe childbirth, child-rearing, and matchmaking.
