History
Kannon-ji is an ancient temple with a long history in the Numata region. Its principal image is the Eleven-faced Kannon Bodhisattva, believed to be efficacious for prayers for safe childbirth and child-rearing. The tranquil and serene grounds offer peace to visitors. The seasonal flowers blooming within the precincts are particularly beautiful and soothing. I was able to experience the tranquil atmosphere of this temple and the compassion of Kannon. It is also believed to grant wishes for business prosperity.
