Ginkaku-ji

Formally known as Jisho-ji, this Zen temple was founded by Ashikaga Yoshimasa, the eighth shogun of the Muromachi shogunate, and is a beautiful temple of the silver world. In contrast to the Golden Pavilion, it embodies the aesthetics of wabi and sabi.
