Hibe Shrine

Hibe Shrine (Kusabe Jinja) is a venerable Shikinaisha — a shrine listed in the Engishiki — located in Kusabe, Nishi Ward, Sakai City, Osaka, formerly ranked as a village shrine. As the place name Kusabe suggests, this area has long been home to farming communities, and the shrine has watched over their lives through the ages. Prayers for bountiful harvests have been passed down through countless generations. Standing before the shrine today, one can still sense the breath of the earth. It remains a quiet guardian of agricultural life in Sakai.
