History
Sannohe Daijingu, enshrined in Sannohe, is a venerable shrine with Ise Grand Shrine as its head shrine. As the place name Sowanaichi suggests, this land also has deep ties with Suwa worship. Sannohe is known as the birthplace of the Nanbu clan and was a historic place where samurai culture flourished. The place name Doushimachi also speaks to the places where warriors once dwelt. In this dignified land, many people have continued to pay their respects and receive the divine virtue of Amaterasu Omikami at this sacred place.
