Ise Miya in Ise-machi, Nagasaki City, is a shrine where the divided spirit of Ise Jingu was invited. Enshrining Amaterasu Oomikami, it is a blessed sacred site where one can receive the divine virtues of the Ise deity in Nagasaki as well. Nagasaki has developed as an international city with active overseas exchange since the Edo period, yet throughout this time the faith in Japan's ancient deities has been carefully preserved. In particular, Amaterasu Oomikami, the sun deity, is revered as the source of all life and as a deity of national peace, serving as a spiritual support for local people. In Nagasaki, filled with exotic atmosphere, this is a special place where one can feel the heart of Japan.
