Fukusenjji is an ancient Obaku Zen temple located in Tomocho, Fukuyama. During the Edo period, it served as a lodging for the Korean Tsushima Embassy. The view of the Seto Inland Sea from the Taishoro Hall within the precincts is praised as "Japan's finest scenery" and has been beloved by many scholars and artists. Tomoura, as an ancient port for tidal waiting, had Fukusenjji serving as a symbol of maritime safety and international friendship. Today, as a sacred site overlooking the beautiful sea, it continues to welcome people seeking peace of mind and good fortune.
