Choan-ji

Choan-ji is an ancient temple quietly nestled in the land of Isesaki. I was drawn to the weight of history and the serene atmosphere of this temple. The principal image, Shakyamuni Nyorai, is said to save people from suffering and guide them to enlightenment. It is deeply revered by the local people for blessings such as family safety, healing of illnesses, and academic success. It is a perfect place for those who wish to calm their minds in a quiet environment. I was able to spend a peaceful time at this temple.
