History
Yodogawa Shrine is located in Kema-cho, Miyakojima Ward, Osaka City, along the banks of the Yodo River. It was established in 1953 (Showa 28) by merging Jugoshrine, the tutelary deity of the former Tomofuchi village, with Hachimangu, the tutelary deity of the former Kema village. The combined divine spirits of two guardian deities now protect the local community. The shrine continues to quietly watch over the lives of nearby residents, in close connection with the flow of the Yodo River.
