Asakura Shrine

As the Asakura Shrine, it has been enshrined long ago in the Uji district, gathering faith from the local people. The sight of people praying at the roots of a great zelkova tree in the early morning never ceases, and like the tree itself, the wish for families to take root and prosper is always held here. A sacred place symbolizing the connection between nature and humanity.
