History

Myoken-ji is a temple quietly nestled in the land of Isesaki. I was drawn to its serene atmosphere. The principal image, Myoken Bosatsu, is also known as the god of the North Star and is believed to be efficacious for various blessings, including academic success, business prosperity, and traffic safety. Many ancient Buddhist statues and stone monuments remain within the precincts, evoking a sense of history. It is a perfect place for those who wish to spend time slowly in a quiet environment. I was able to purify my mind at this temple.
