History
This shrine is located in Shibasaki-cho, Takasaki City, and enshrines Susanoo-no-Mikoto as its principal deity. Although its founding is unknown, it has been affectionately known and deeply worshipped by local people since ancient times. The main hall has a powerful yet calm atmosphere. Within the precincts, many subordinate shrines and sub-shrines are enshrined, testifying to its role as the guardian deity that has been close to the lives of the local people. In particular, the Gion Festival is held in the summer, bringing vibrancy to the region. It is a powerful shrine that combines the fierce aspect of Susanoo-no-Mikoto with his role as a guardian deity protecting the region.
