History
Shiratori Jinja, located in Furuichi, Habikino City, Osaka, enshrines five deities: Yamato Takeru no Mikoto, Susanoo no Mikoto, Inadahime no Mikoto, Nigihayahi no Mikoto, and Hirokunioshitakekanahinomikoto. The shrine name derives from the legend of Yamato Takeru, the heroic prince who subdued enemies across the land and was said to have transformed into a white bird after his death. Formerly ranked as a village shrine, the annual festival on October 9th brings the community together to honor these deities and pray for the fulfillment of wishes.
