Yamawaki Shrine

This shrine, blending into Onomichi's historic streetscape, has protected the community since ancient times, true to its name meaning 'mountain side.' Immersed in history's current, it has always been a spiritual support for local people. I have dwelt here for countless years, receiving the prayers of many pilgrims. Regardless of how time changes, this shrine's light shines unwavering, forever protecting and guiding all in its care.
