History
Akasaka Hikawa Jinja is an ancient shrine that has watched over the Akasaka district since the Edo period. Receiving the patronage of the Tokugawa shogunate, it served as an important defense against evil for Edo Castle. During the Meiji period, it became known for the Akasaka Hikawa Festival, and the grand autumn festival still draws crowds today. Though located in the city center, its serene grounds provide a special space that soothes the hearts of busy modern people. Known for its divine virtues of matchmaking, it never lacks for visitors seeking auspicious bonds.

境内に参拝者専用の無料駐車場が9台あります。年末年始(12月31日午後〜1月13日)は利用できません。
Visit Notes
日枝神社や乃木神社から歩いて来れます。日本武尊のお神輿など展示されていました。初めてお伺いしましたが緑が多く整然としていてとても好きな神社になりました。人も落ち着いていてゆっくり参拝できます。通常と別に月替わりで御朱印も700円で置いてあるそうです。
