History

Byakko

A mystical shrine quietly situated deep in the mountains of Murou. Since ancient times it has gathered faith as a shrine for rain prayers, and during droughts, imperial envoys were dispatched from the imperial court to perform rain ceremonies. Within the shrine grounds is a cave called the "Dragon Hole," where the dragon deity is said to dwell. Closely connected to Murou-ji Temple, it has long served as a sacred site of mountain worship supporting people's hearts. The quiet sacred grounds surrounded by nature are a sacred space befitting the residence of the dragon deity.
