History
Iwasaki Jinja is enshrined in the Imaichi area of Nikko, a shrine with a powerful name indeed. As evident from the name "Iwasaki" (rock-splitting), it enshrines a deity who governs the power of the earth and the spiritual force of rocks. Near this sacred mountain of Nikko, it has long been venerated as a protective deity against earthquakes and disasters. As a deity possessing the solid and immovable power of rock, it grants courage and strength to those facing hardship.
