Ojika Jinja is an ancient shrine enshrined in the Ojika area of Suruga Ward, Shizuoka. The place name "Ojika" is said to derive from a time long ago when deer, regarded as messengers of the deity, lived in this region. It has long been revered as the tutelary deity of the local area, and in particular has continued to watch over the daily lives of local people as a warm-hearted shrine.
