Ryūgeji is a quiet and charming temple nestled on a verdant hillside in Kanazawa Ward, Yokohama. Founded in the Kamakura period, as a Nichiren sect temple, it has gathered the faith of many people. The principal image is the Jikkai Mandara, allowing one to deeply feel the teachings of Nichiren Shonin. It is said to grant the benefits of academic success and the fulfillment of all wishes, and many students and working adults visit. Within the temple grounds, surrounded by nature, one can worship peacefully in a tranquil atmosphere. The goshuin expresses the teachings of Nichiren Buddhism and the serene atmosphere of the temple.
