History
Keno Koku Shirasawa Jinja is an ancient shrine enshrined in the Shirasawa area of Sano since antiquity. It is said to continue from the era of Keno Koku, and it enshrines a deity that governs the blessings of water and mountains in this land. True to its name Shirasawa, the shrine has carved its history alongside the flow of clear streams. Affectionately known as "Shirasawa-sama" by local people, it is a deity that has continued to watch over this land through the generations. Since long ago, it has gathered the faith of people praying for agriculture and the safety of the community, a serene shrine where visitors come throughout the four seasons to find peace of heart.
