History

Byakko

Suwa Jinja, enshrined at Sakagawara in Kakegawa, is an ancient shrine established as a branch of the renowned shrine in Shinshû. The divine power of Takeminakata extended to the lands of Enshû, protecting and nurturing both agriculture and commerce. Like the clear waters of the Sakagawa river, it is a sacred place that endlessly receives the wishes of worshippers. Though the times change, it continues to grant its unchanging protection.
