About
History
Higashimuroyama Jinja has been enshrined in the Higashimuroyama area of Higashine city since ancient times, serving as a shrine governing the blessings of foothills. This region has been known since antiquity for its thriving agriculture and its abundance of natural blessings. The shrine developed alongside the community's land reclamation and has gathered devoted worship as the village's protective deity. Particularly, it has never lacked worshippers praying for abundant harvests of crops and for mountain safety. Today it remains a symbol of community unity, and during the spring grand festival, many villagers gather to perform traditional kagura and ceremonial rites, allowing visitors to experience the timeless character of the village.
