Arimatsu Tenman-sha

Arimatsu Tenman-sha is enshrined in Narumi-cho, Midori Ward, Nagoya, and was revered as the tutelary deity of the former Arimatsu-cho. Dedicated to Sugawara no Michizane, the deity of learning, the shrine held the rank of village shrine in the old classification system. Students visit to pray for examination success, seeking the blessing of Lord Michizane, whose wisdom has guided people across the centuries.
