Katsuragi Mitoshi Jinja is a venerable shrine that has been devoutly revered since ancient times as a deity of agriculture. The enshrined kami, Mitoshi no Kami, presides over abundant harvests of the five grains, particularly rice cultivation, and has long supported the lives of people in this region. Nestled at the foot of the Katsuragi mountain range, this shrine serves as an important place connecting the blessings of the mountains with the fruits of the village, and continues to be cherished by local people.
