Shinsho-ji is a temple of the Koyasan Shingon sect, quietly situated in Isogo, Isogo-ku, Yokohama City. Its mountain name (sangō) is Zenba-zan, and it enshrines Amida Nyorai (Amitabha) as its principal image. The temple is also referred to by its in-go (cloister name) as Sango-in or Mitsugen-in. For many years, it has received the deep prayers of people for memorial services, ancestor veneration, and mizuko kuyo (memorial rites for unborn children). The serene precincts offer quiet solace to visitors and have long served as a spiritual anchor for the local community.
