This temple is located in Kawauchi-cho, Kiryu City, and is an ancient temple nestled in a quiet mountain valley. Its founding is said to date back to the first year of Genkō (1321) of the Kamakura period, and it flourished as a Zen temple of the Rinzai sect. The Eleven-faced Kannon Bodhisattva enshrined in the main hall attracts the faith of many people with its benevolent appearance.
