Sōzen-ji

This temple is located in Kawauchi-cho, Kiryu City, and is an ancient temple nestled in a quiet mountain valley. Its founding is said to date back to the first year of Genkō (1321) of the Kamakura period, and it flourished as a Zen temple of the Rinzai sect. Within the precincts, there is a serene garden that provides peace of mind to visitors. Furthermore, the abbot's sermons have deeply impressed many people.
