History

Byakko

Wakou-in, which enshrines the bleeding Fudo Myoo in the Tajima region, is known as an ancient place of ascetic practice. There is a belief that the fierce flames of Fudo Myoo burn away all evil connections. When I visited, the solemn atmosphere caused my spirit to tighten. The sight of practitioners pursuing their discipline remains unchanged through a thousand years, continuing to bring purifying flames to all who seek it.
