History

Byakko

Hachimangu Kimomiya Jinja is a quiet shrine nestled in the mountains of Atami. It takes the unusual form of enshrining both Hachiman and the Kimomiya deity, and has long protected this land. The Kimomiya deity is known for its divine virtue of longevity and health, while Hachiman is said to bring winning spirit and good fortune. Located in the hot spring resort of Atami, it is a special place where one can simultaneously wish for both physical and spiritual healing and improvement of fortune. After paying respects, one can refresh both body and mind at Atami's hot springs, which is also one of its charms.
