History
Kushitama Hime no Mikoto Jinja is an ancient shrine enshrined in Kurado, Tawaramoto. It enshrines the goddess Kushitama Hime no Mikoto, revered since ancient times as the deity of beauty and wisdom. As the name 'Kushitama' suggests, this goddess has long been venerated as a deity of beauty and personal adornment, particularly by women. Known as Hime no Mikoto, this graceful and compassionate goddess is also honored for her blessings of good relationships and household harmony. Situated amidst the peaceful pastoral landscape of the Nara Basin, it is a shrine that gently hears the wishes of its people.
