History

Shinmei Hinomiya Tsukinomiya Jingu standing in Shimono, Namerikawa, where the light of both sun and moon deities illuminates the place as its name indicates. The sun goddess Amaterasu by day and the moon god Tsukiyomi by night, their mutually shining light demonstrates the harmony of yin and yang, symbolizing the circulation of all things.
