History
Shigenegi Hachiman-gu is an Hachiman shrine enshrined in the Shigenegi area of Tamana City. Hachiman deity is revered both as a god of war and agriculture, and has long gathered the faith of local people in this region. As evident from the place name Shigenegi, with its abundant vegetation and deep-rooted trees, Hachiman deity firmly protects this land. Walking alongside the development of the Tamana region, the shrine has become an indispensable presence for local people.
