Kikuchi Jinja is enshrined in Kuwaifu, Kikuchi City, and is a shrine dedicated to the Kikuchi clan, renowned as loyal retainers of the Southern Court. The Kikuchi clan was a distinguished samurai family that ruled this region from the Kamakura through Muromachi periods, and is particularly known for their loyalty to the Southern Court. The shrine grounds are located within Kikuchi Park and are also famous as a cherry blossom viewing site. In spring, beautiful cherry blossoms bloom abundantly, attracting many visitors.
