History

The Houanden of Enoshima Jinja is a shrine on the mystical island of Enoshima, dedicated to Benzaiten. This island has prospered as a place of worship since ancient times, attracting many visitors. The Houanden is one of the particularly important places among them, believed to bring benefits of financial luck, matchmaking, and good fortune. I, too, find solace for my mind in this place enveloped by the mystery of the sea.
