This Kamiookaka Kashima Jinja is a historic shrine that has gathered the faith of people in this land since ancient times. The shrine buildings have a history of overcoming several fires and wars, and being rebuilt each time. Ancient trees hundreds of years old stand tall within the precincts, enveloped in a tranquil atmosphere. It is said to grant wishes such as good luck and warding off evil, family safety, and traffic safety, and many worshippers visit. Prayers unchanged since ancient times still live on in this land.
