Ikasuri Jinja is a shrine of distinguished origin in Chuo Ward, Osaka City. This shrine, read as 'Ikasuri,' was originally located on the west side of Osaka Castle but is said to have been relocated to its present location when Toyotomi Hideyoshi constructed Osaka Castle. The five deities of Ikasuri no Okami serve as guardian gods of the land and have long been revered in this capacity. It is particularly known for its divine virtue regarding dwellings and land, and has gathered devout faith from Osaka merchants throughout history.
