Hachiman Shrine

Hachiman-sha in Kashiwai-cho, Kasugai City, Aichi Prefecture, stands along the former Shimo-kaido road. Enshrined here is Hachiman, the deity of war and archery. The shrine held the rank of village shrine in the old shrine classification system. Located at a strategic crossroads, it attracted devotion from traveling warriors and local residents alike. Today visitors come seeking academic success as well as the traditional blessings of martial valor.
