Ikko-ji, formally known as Seicho-zan Ikko-ji, is a temple of the Ji-shu Ikko branch located in Nishihara, Utsunomiya City, Tochigi Prefecture. It was founded by Utsunomiya Katsetsuna. The temple enshrines a bronze seated Amitabha Buddha designated as a National Important Cultural Property, popularly known as the "Sweating Amida" due to the legend that the statue perspires as an omen of significant events. It remains a place of deep devotion for Pure Land practitioners.
