Shinmei Hikawa Shrine is located in Yayoicho, Nakano, Tokyo. It is said to have been founded in 1469 (Bunmei 1) and has long served as the local guardian shrine of the area. The shrine combines a Shinmei shrine dedicated to Amaterasu Omikami and a Hikawa shrine dedicated to Susanoo no Mikoto. It was registered as a village shrine under the Meiji shrine ranking system and has continued to serve as a spiritual anchor for the local community. Today it quietly watches over the residents of Yayoicho.
