History

Byakko

One of Inuyama's ancient temples, Sennen-ji is rooted in the teaching of nembutsu recitation. Near the Kiso River, I have witnessed the impermanence of life in its flowing waters. Those who visit carry their hearts like the river, eventually flowing into the great ocean of Buddha. In this process, worldly attachments are shed and awakening comes.
