Natadera is an ancient temple that has long been revered as a sacred site of Hakusan faith. Built within beautiful rock cavern formations called Kigan Yusenkyō, it is truly a sacred place unified with nature. It enshrines Hakusan Hime no Okami, the goddess of Hakusan, and has flourished as a center of mountain worship. It is particularly known for its beautiful autumn foliage, when the temple grounds are enveloped in blazing colors. The "womb passage" within the rock caverns is said to have spiritual efficacy for rebirth, and many visitors come seeking spiritual purification. It is a mystical sacred domain where the beauty of natural formations and faith are harmoniously united.
