Takamu Jinja, located in Imaike, Chikusa Ward, Nagoya, is an ancient shrine identified with the "Takamu Jinja" of Owari Province listed in the Engishiki Jimmyocho. It is said to have been founded during the reign of Emperor Seimu, with Emperor Ojin additionally enshrined during the reign of Emperor Seiwa. The three principal deities are Takamimusubi-no-Kami, Kamimusubi-no-Kami, and Emperor Ojin. Formerly known as Hachimangu and also called "Funade Hachimangu" and "Koii Hachimangu," it has served as the local guardian shrine for generations. The ancient well on the grounds is still used for purification water, and the shrine is known as one of three shrines on the "Koi no Sanja Meguri" pilgrimage route.
