History

Nakameguro Hachiman Jinja is a venerable Hachiman shrine enshrining Emperor Ojin as its principal deity. Having been established in this location for many ages, it has continually protected the village of Nakameguro. Through the divine virtues of the Great Hachiman Deity, many worshippers visit seeking long-lasting military fortune, victory in competition, and the healthy growth of children. In particular, it is affectionately known to local parishioners as 'Nakameguro's Hachiman-sama,' and a lively festival ceremony is held during the autumn grand festival.
