History

Kinumaki Shrine in Toyooka City, Hyogo Prefecture, is a Myojin-taisha listed in the Engishiki and counted among the Tajima Go-sha, the five most prestigious shrines of the Tajima region. Identified with the ancient sea deity shrine, it has long served as a spiritual center for the people of Toyooka. Devotion to this venerable shrine continues unbroken to this day.
