Togane Jinja is revered as the ichinomiya of Mikawa Province and has long been venerated as the chief tutelary shrine of the Tokai region. Enshrining Onamuchi no Mikoto, it is known for its benefits of prosperous commerce and household safety. The precincts are solemn and beautiful, and the magnificent main hall tightens the hearts of worshippers. Proud of its status and history as the ichinomiya, numerous festivals and rituals are held throughout the year. Many pilgrims from both the local community and distant places visit to seek the divine protection of the kami.
