History
Hachiman Akita Jinja is a venerable Hachiman shrine located in the center of Akita city in Senshi Meitoku-cho. It has received the devoted faith of the Satake clan, lords of Akita Domain, and has played an important role as the guardian deity of the castle town. Through the virtues of Hachiman, it has bestowed blessings not only on military fortune but also on the advancement of learning and industry.
