It enshrines Mikichi Reishin, a deity unique to Akita, whose virtues are powerful and particularly beneficial for competitive endeavors and overcoming difficulties. Every January 17th, the Bomten Offering Festival features the spectacular presentation of brave bomten carried with the shout of 'Joya-sa, Joya-sa.'
