Kitami Hikawa Jinja

Hikawa Jinja enshrined in the land of Kitami. Hikawa Jinja is a shrine dedicated to Susanoo no Mikoto and belongs to a lineage of venerable shrines found throughout Japan. Susanoo no Mikoto is known as a brave deity who defeated the Yamata no Orochi and is revered as a god of protection against misfortune. Additionally, because he was united with Kushinada-hime in Izumo, he is also cherished as a god of romantic bonds.
