Sengyoji, formally known as Ikomisan Sengyoji, is a Nichiren sect temple in Minami-Ikebukuro, Toshima, Tokyo. It was founded by Priest Nichizen during the Tensho era (1573-1592) and relocated to its current site during the Genna era following Edo Castle expansion. The temple enshrines Fukurokuju of the Zoshigaya Seven Lucky Gods, beloved as a place of longevity and fortune. In 1995, a bronze Great Buddha approximately 3 meters tall was erected, attracting many visitors who come to pay their respects.
