History
Takada Hikawa Jinja is enshrined in Takada, Toshima Ward, and enshrines Susanoo no Mikoto. As one of the network of Hikawa shrines centered in Musashi Province, it has long gathered the faith of local people. The place name Takada refers to elevated terrain, and was once a naturally rich highland of Musashino.
