Haiima Daishi Hongakuin stands in Haiima. This is not a shrine but a Shingon temple dedicated to Kobo Daishi Kukai. Known affectionately as "Haiima Daishi," it is widely recognized for its spiritual efficacy in evil spirit exorcism. The annual "Daruma Market" in January boasts one of the largest scales in the Kanto region and draws many worshippers. Through the compassionate divine protection of Kobo Daishi, suffering is relieved and people are guided toward happiness. In the Tama region of Akishima, it continues to be treasured as an important sacred place that has gathered faith since ancient times.
